Another thing that annoys me about this is how it's supposed to be punishing private equity while still promoting small business. But the whole point of taper relief is that it rewards long term investment, and people who have owned their businesses for several years.
Turning everything to a flat rate with no benefits for staying with businesses in the long term could do ugly things to the UK business scene. |
